Take worrying about retirement off your to-do list.

It’d be our pleasure to add it onto ours.

As a small business owner, you wear 101 hats

(and dang, they look good on you)

Business owner. Problem solver. Printer un-jammer. Spreadsheet wrangler. Hirer. Firer. Parent-to-teenagers survivor.

That's the life of a small business owner. Long days and even longer nights.

Wearing a hundred and one hats. Putting everything you've got (and a little of your sanity) into building something you're proud of — a business and a family.

And you know what?

I'm right there with you.

But what happens when those 101 hats start to get a little frayed 'round the edges?

A bit like your nerves.

You start dreaming about hanging up those business hats, and swapping them out for a wide-brimmed, metaphorical, ‘relax and retire’ hat.

The kind that’ll take you on travel, adventures, and to sunset cocktails. A massage, a movie, and a lazy, afternoon nap...every, single day.

Retirement will look good on you.

But are you (and your bank accounts) ready?

Woulda coulda shoulda…

It's the unintentional mantra of hundreds of thousands of small business owners.

People, like you, who maybe — just once or twice — prioritised investing into their business (and kids), rather than their super.

Makes sense, right?

Because your business is your retirement plan.

Step 1. Hang up your business hat.

Step 2. Sell the business for thank-goodness-it-was-all-worth-it kind of money.

Step 3. Live the good life.

Um...fingers crossed.

Hope is not a retirement plan.

And neither's your business.

You hope you'll sell your business for that magic ‘no worries’ figure. And, at the exact time you need it.

You hope your kids won't argue about who gets what and when.

And you hope you don't burn out, blow a valve, and miss out on those glorious golden years.

Blunt? Yes.

But maybe you needed to hear that.

You know what though? You've got this.

It's not too late. I promise.

But you’ve got to do something about it.

Less hoping. More planning.

Maybe it's time to make a start.

“Tom has given us advice to help us with our future. Retirement does not seem like an impossible dream anymore.

He explains everything in language that we both understand and no question is a problem. He is always a phone call away. ”

— Jane

G'day, my name's Tom.

I'm a proud wearer of the ‘Retirement Planner’ hat, so you don't have to be.

And I'm on a mission to stop small business owners flushing their retirement (and last few non-grey hairs) down the gurgler.

I reckon treating your business as your retirement plan is riskier than guzzling a glass of week-old milk.

The results, shall we say, are unpredictable.

Wouldn't you rather have enough in the kitty — separate from your business — so when you're ready to jump off the heart-stopping business-owner rollercoaster, you can calmly navigate over to the slower-paced, just-as-enjoyable, retirement pony ride?

All without worrying about how you’re going to pay for it.

I want you to spend time dreaming about taking 967 photos from that glass-roofed train ride through the Canadian Rockies, rather than worrying about how to exit your business for a bucket-list-load of cash in the last few years of work.

Want to know how?
