Retirement is not an impossible dream.

As long as your dreaming, turns into doing.

Can we help you?

Ready to hang up your small business owner hat
in the next 10 years or so?

And start living the good (retirement) life —
knowing the money stuff’s all taken care of?

Maybe you don't know if you can afford to retire, because you've spent the last couple of decades investing in your business rather than your super — and that balance needs a few extra zeros.

Or maybe you’re thinking about exiting your business and wondering what options you have and how to go about it.

Or maybe you’re just keen for a deeper, more restful sleep that comes from knowing you have a considered, smart retirement plan.

If that's you, let me tell you about the 101 Club.

One hundred and what?

The 101 Club.

You wear 101 different hats.

You have 101 things on your to do list.

Join us, and you'll be one of 101 small business owners dead keen on having a ripper retirement.

And with the gumption to do something about it.

Together, we’ll create a crystal clear retirement plan in 101 days or less.

It's secret and private. Just you and I.

You won't know the other 100 members unless you whisper to a friend over a double cappuccino, "Have you heard about the 101 Club?". And they nod knowingly and reach out to exchange the secret handshake.*

Nudge nudge. Wink wink.

*Just kidding — there's no secret handshake, but we’re very under the radar (only the smartest folks know who to trust with their retirement plan).

Oh, you want in?

The first step is to schedule an appointment.

We'll meet and chat through where you are and where you need (and want) to be.

Remember the hill?

We'll plot your dream uphill and downhill journey.

Money. Business. And life.

From there, we'll meet a few more times. We'll do the research and pull together a custom retirement plan, just for you and your dreams.

Then, we’ll set the plan in motion. And you can be confident knowing you’re making smart uphill moves, so you can enjoy the downhill journey in the years to come.

And chances are, you'll start sleeping a little more soundly each night.

“Tom is very good at giving options and explaining the ramifications of each option.

I was very wary about approaching a financial advisor for a number of years as I was sceptical about whether they were working in my best interests or theirs.

Didn't take long for Tom to allay my fears and I’m fully confident in his ability to do the right thing by me.”

Before you start, be advice smart

If you've decided it’s time to get some help planning for your retirement, can you promise me one thing?

Don’t make these mistakes.

1. Don't take advice from experts with one-track minds.

If you get the sense your accountant or adviser is only interested in tax or SMSFs or property or breeding rare ostriches for profit, raise your eyebrows and hit pause.

They might be specialists doing what they do best, and working their magic as part of a big picture plan. That’s a good thing.

But if you suspect the advice doesn’t consider the whole landscape of your business, life and money, make sure you’ve got someone on your side who’s doing just that.

2. Don't assume that cheap is better.

Sometimes it makes sense to choose the inexpensive option. Like a brand of baked beans or bag of flour.

But sometimes it’s worth investing in the important stuff. The Hilux rather than the Triton. The Nikes rather than the Dunlop Volleys. Solid, expert, holistic advice rather than 'advice' delivered down a phone from a call centre in Western Sydney for 'free'.

3. Don't accept cookie cutter advice.

Providing financial advice isn't like knitting a scarf or 'baking' a tray of frozen bread rolls.

If you see someone churning out ‘start an SMSF and buy a property’ advice by the dozen, run. Quickly.

Look for an adviser that provides bespoke advice. Someone who guides you towards good choices, but ultimately allows you to make your own decisions. No pressure.

And for the record…

We’re big picture thinkers.

We look at your whole situation and bring in other experts where we need to. That means you can be confident we're across all the ins and outs of your financial and business life.

We’re reassuringly pricey.

We're not the most expensive, and we won't nickel and dime you. We know what it takes to produce solid advice and the kind of results that puts smiles on faces and bums on plane seats to Paris.

We'll always tell you exactly how much it’ll cost before you give the green light. Most people pay between $5,000 and $10,000 each year for the sense of calm that comes from knowing you have options and a plan for making it happen.

We’re not the boss.

You are. We'll always present you with well-researched options and discuss the pros and cons, facts and feelings of each.

It's vital you're comfortable and confident with the strategy and decisions — so we'll guide you. But ultimately you decide.
